LIGHT + PEOPLE IN SPACE

A collection of photos taken and lit in a found space by Matt Robson. A study of the relationship of light and people in space.

Color

The use of color— and the intensity of colors (or lack of intensity)—reveals and reinforces emotions or subdues them based on the levels of saturation.

Shadow

Light and shadows can be used in composition to create mood, to draw attention to an area, to modify or distort shape, or to bring out form and texture in the subject. Shadows are a key to apparent form in photographs. But also play a role is the visual story telling.

Texture

The form of light affects focus and can add complexity to an image.
